“We get to play [Aly’s] songs for the kids in our lives that are not only great songs, but also miraculously about radical queer love, diasporic Judaism, consent, feeling your feelings, and loving the world.”

— Dori Midnight

“I loved Aly’s commitment to getting all of the congregational musicians well-prepared to craft the evening together; her compassion and sensitivity for everyone who came to sing with her in the middle of an extraordinarily painful time in our world; the ease and skill with which she deeply engaged our young folks in thinking, writing and singing. Her musical brilliance and the beauty of her voice were very, very well-received. The collective, breathing hushes after she led us in song... The energy of the room felt excited, hearing and being heard, grieving and grounding and grateful.”

— Cantor Vera Broekhuysen, Congregation Beth El of the Sudbury River Valley

“What a true joy it was to bring Aly into our community for Shabbat! The logistics were made easy by Aly’s clear communication and her planning ahead to provide songsheets, etc. And her gentle, welcoming presence wove a magical web of comfort, healing and connection among us!
